The Triathlon Championship is returning in 2026
We want to reward those who consistently challenge themselves and perform well in timed events. It’s simple, race, and score points. Then win a championship, glory, admiration from your peers?…and some very cool prizes.
Triathlon Championship Events 2026
Long Series:
Olympic and or Half Distance Races
- XTERRA Tahoe City
- Donner Lake Triathlon Olympic
- Donner Lake Triathlon Half (double points)
- XTERRA Lake Tahoe
- Lake Tahoe Triathlon Olympic
- Lake Tahoe Triathlon Half (double points)
Sprint Series:
- XTERRA Tahoe City Sprint (double points)
- Donner Lake Sprint Triathlon
- XTERRA Lake Tahoe Sprint (double points)
- Lake Tahoe Sprint Triathlon
Points:
- 1 participation point per event
- Top 5 overall
- Top 5 male and Top 5 female
- Top five in your age/gender
- 14-19, 20-24, 25-29 and up to oldest competitor (age as of 12/31)
- How many points
- 1st = 5 points
- 2nd = 4 points
- 3rd = 3 points
- 4th = 2 points
- 5th = 1 points
Rules:
You must race in a minimum of two races. If you race in more than two races, your top two scores will be taken (e.g. if you compete in 4 races, your top 2 scores are taken and the other 2 drop).
Winners are announced in our Monthly Newsletter, on the website and on our Facebook Page
Awards:
At the end of the series, awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-place male and female participants. Winning is based on the total points accumulated at the end of the season from each participant’s top two races. The participant with the most points will win the series. In total, there can be up to 12 winners, with three male and three female winners in the Long Series and three male and three female winners in the Sprint Series.
