Ashley Hall
Big Blue Adventure Ambassador
Ashley Hall is an outdoor enthusiast with a passion for health and wellness that can be seen in both her personal and professional lives.
Originally from NH, Ashley moved out west for graduate school in 2005 and has two master’s degrees: an M.S. in Molecular Biology and an M.S. in Exercise Science. She loves bike commuting to her job in an immunology laboratory and has crafted a work schedule that has her in the lab four days per week so she can play outside more often.
When she’s not wearing a lab coat, Ashley can be found outside with her dog Remy — either preparing for her next race or exploring in the mountains. In her downtime she enjoys cooking and baking as well as watching the Patriots and the Red Sox.
Ashley has completed 25 marathons, 15 relay races (six on an all-woman ultra team), three half Ironman triathlons, and one full Ironman triathlon in Tahoe. After more than a decade of racing and training only on pavement, she wanted to find a way for her to continue her passion for running and outdoor adventure that would be friendlier to her joints and be more fun for her dog. And her newfound passion for trail running was born.
Ashley completed her first trail race in 2017 and fell in love with the trail racing scene. In her first year of trail racing, she completed two 50k races and The Great Trail Race; ending up with one first and two second place female finishes. She is currently training for her tenth Boston Marathon in April 2018 and is already looking forward to the spring and summer when she can dive back into trail running.
